The University of North Carolina at Asheville, in partnership with the Wilma Dykeman Legacy, is creating a Writers-in-Residence Program at Wilma's childhood home just north of Asheville. Distinguished and emerging writers and artists across disciplines (biology, environmental studies, economics, English, gender and women's studies, philosophy, history) will live on the Wilma Dykeman House and Grounds, focus on their own work, and connect with students and faculty at UNC Asheville.
