Pride of Place

We produce an annual week-long professional development experience for a dozen middle and high school teachers. Each teacher develops their own unit in English, Environmental Science, and/or Social Studies to teach pride of place.
On Friday, July 21, 2023, HSTI trainers and teachers will present their units and experiences at Mars Hill University's summer conference entitled Culturally Relevant Pedagogy in Appalachia. To register, visit the following link: https://forms.gle/9p5vURkMPq82QazH7
